Manyshot

( Epic Level Handbook, p. 70)

[General]

You can fire multiple arrows as a single attack against a nearby target.

Prerequisite

Point Blank Shot (PH) , Rapid Shot (PH) , DEX 15, Base attack bonus +6,

Benefit

As a standard action, you may fire two arrows at a single opponent within 30 feet. Both arrows use the same attack roll to determine success (with a -4 penalty on the roll) and deal normal damage. For every 5 points of base attack bonus above +6, you may add one additional arrow to this attack, to a maximum of four arrows at base attack bonus +16 or higher. Howewer, each arrow after the second adds a cummulative -2 penalty to the attack roll (-6 for three arrows, -8 for four).

Special

Regardless of the number of arrows you fire, you apply precision-based damage (such as sneak attack damage or the ranger's favored enemy bonus) once. If you score a critical hit, only one of the arrows deals critical damage (your choice); all others deal normal damage.
